  • Tea made from Panyolai organic acacia flower, manually gathered in the flood plain area of the rivers Samos, Tisza and Old Túr. Dried in wooden driers. When talking about acacia trees it remembers us of acacia honey although its white flower blooming in May is a valuable herb as well. Its flower is also called by villagers as ’’kukucska’’ and many people chew it in its raw state. The acacia flower is one of the most sensible herbs. We gather it when it is still not completely bloomed (we have to face honey bees). While being dried they should be turned over several times so that they did not get brown. The boiled liquid made of the flower has a mild antispasmodic effect. It is usually used against abnormal acidity of the gastric juice and also to lower tightness of the stomach wall. Its tea is a good cough suppressant, mild diuretic and laxative. Also, due to its aromatic effect it is used to improve taste of other kinds of tea. The boiled liquid poured onto acacia flower is also considered to have mucus removing, antispasmodic, tonifiant and sedative effect. Preparing the acacia tea Put a spoonful of acacia flower into a pot and then pour 250 ml of boiling water onto it. Cover the pot and leave it so for 10 minutes. After it cools down we can drink it with honey.
